YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO ATTEND A MEETING OF CASTOR PARISH COUNCIL TO BE HELD in the Cedar Centre on Thursday 1st September 2022 at 7.30PM FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSACTING THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS:

  • Minutes of the previous meeting – To Consider a resolution to approve the minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 7th July, 2022.

  • PUBLIC FORUM – Opportunity for public questions or presentations to the council –

PLANNING and associated matters:

    1. Joint Community Action Plan (JCAP)to agree the draft update as circulated to councillors by John Hodder on 8th June
  1. Neighbourhood planning (standing item) –
  2. Status report – update on planning applications previously considered 2021/22 financial year.
  3. Planning Applications – to consider, as statutory consultees, planning applications received since the previous meeting.

  1. 22/01093/CTR 55 Peterborough Road (T1) Whitebeam reduce by 50%, (T2) Acacia pollard below split trunk leaving the lower growth, (T3) Maple reduce by 30%, (T4) Red Maple reduce to match in height, (T5) Cherry + (T6) Acer reduce by 30%, (T7)
    Cherry reduce by 50% in height to old cuts and shape the sides to be agreed (T8) Fell Pine, (T9) Sycamore + (T10) Apple pollard to old cuts

  1. 22/01097/HHFUL 14 Peterborough Road Demolition of two lean to extensions, brick shed and two garages. Proposed single and two storey rear extension. New pitched roof to dormer on front elevation. Replace render on front elevation
  2. Woodlands Development
    • To consider any feedback on the Land swap proposal. (If Any)
    • to consider latest developments on plans for the Woodlands site.
  • Land and Allotments
    1. Allotments – To consider if any further action is required for specific plots. Invoices and, where necessary agreements, will be sent in September and may prompt further plots to be relinquished for 2022/23.
    2. Tree Safety report – John Wilcockson has confirmed that our tree safety report currently underway – oral update will be given if available & full report expected to go to October meeting
    3. Land Management tender– to consider tenders received for the annual maintenance work (Possibly to include any work arising from the tree safety report)
  • HIGHWAYS & Public Rights of Way
    1. Observations from Councillors (if any).

 Community Matters:

    1. Joint Parish Liaison Group (JPLG) to agree the agenda for the next meeting to be held on 29th September
    2. Langdyke Trust Wildlife Recovery Project – update on progress – Vice Chairman to report progress on the Nature (if any since the last meeting).
    3. Village TribuneTo consider the proposed changes to the funding and production of the magazine and to agree feedback to the editor
    4. Good Neighbours scheme – To note the AGM to be held on 7th September
    5. Play area equipment – feedback report by chairman re Roundabout & advice from Kompan.
    6. Jubilee event
    7. Castor & Ailsworth Fete – To consider feedback (if any) from the event
    8. Standing Stones – update from Cllr. Baxter
  1. Water Leak – To consider any update from Anglian Water
  2. Information boards –

 Governance Matters:

    1. land Management contract – Opening of tenders received.
    2. Precept timetable – To note the timetable of Peterborough City Council and requirement for precept forms to be completed for January 2023
    3. Parish Council Emails – Capacity for large emails
    4. Code of Conduct Training – Free Training event By Peterborough City Council 22nd September 6pm on Zoom – (names to clerk)
